This exhibition ‘As I Am’ is Teuila Lam’s first solo exhibition.

Teuila’s journey began last year at the local Headspace student art market, where her work caught the eye of Mark Labrow, ManPAC’s Community Engagement Co-ordinator, who offered her the chance to showcase her work in the Mez Art Gallery.

Teuila said ‘For me, art is my way of expressing myself. It helps me escape and find peace from the outside world. I’ve always found it hard to share what’s in my mind with others. It isn’t easy.

But art is a language without words, and everyone can understand it. I make art to show the world who I am. I put my interests, feelings, and soul into everything I create.

I’ve come a long way as an artist, and I’m really proud of that. So, I hope people can see my art and love it as I do!’

Teuila’s digital artwork is full of talent, passion and dramatic storytelling. The characters she depicts are inspired by music and film and Teuila’s desire to communicate the emotions and experiences she has encountered throughout her life.

Exhibition Open Celebration Event: Monday 23rd March.
