‘COMMON THREADS’ is the first exhibition by Peel Textile Creatives, a diverse and enthusiastic group of textile artists and makers who live in the Peel region. Their interests in fibre and fabrics  is across the full spectrum of techniques and materials, including dyeing, printing, stitch, weaving, quilting, and 3D form.

This community arts group has grown from the sharing of friendship, ideas and knowledge and the support and encouragement of all members’ different areas of interest and aspirations.

Some members are affiliated with other groups such as WAFTA, WA Quilters and The Embroiderers Guild, some exhibiting individually as practising artists while others are enthusiastic makers.

Members host meetings in their homes, cafes and places of interest and organise workshops and visits to exhibitions.
