FRIDAY 27 APRIL, 10.30AM – 12.30PM
A TASTE OF SCOTLAND – A TASTE OF HAGGIS
U3A are back to delight and inform you.
This time, they will transport you to Scotland with music, dance and bagpipes. You will also hear about the history, the battles, the kilt and the language. Scottish jokes will throw friendly insults to add humour and laughter. Colourful slides and commentary will show the spectacular scenery, the geology, the glens, the thistles and the heather. A liberal dose of Robbie Burns poetry will feature, with songs for you to sing along. If you feel like dancing a reel, you will be invited to do that too – or you can simply watch.
During the interval, how about tasting some authentic Scottish HAGGIS, whilst traditional music pipes away in the background.
Wear something tartan and come along to enjoy the fun, the entertainment and the music.
In the MPAC foyer, for a week before the show, there will be a display of Scottish flags, kilts and scenery- so that you can get into the swing. See you there.
