Take your songwriting to the next level! Join a supportive community of young musicians, work alongside experienced mentors, and develop your skills in co-writing, lyricism and song structures.
- Weekly sessions | Term 2
- Limited to 12 participants
What to expect:
Mentored songwriting sessions – Learn from industry professionals in a collaborative environment.
Group co-writing – Work closely with other young musicians within the club to create and refine original songs.
Studio recording experience – Record a demo of an original song during the July school holidays.
All eligible applicants will be invited to an informal audition/workshop to determine the final participants for 2026.
Program Requirements:
- Must be between the ages of 14 – 18
- Must be able to play the basics of an instrument (or be a vocalist)
- Must have your own instrument (unless you are a vocalist)
- Must be available to attend the audition workshop, most sessions and the studio recording
Key Dates:
- Audition/Workshop: Tuesday 7 April, 10am – 1pm
Start Date: April 20
End Date: June 29
Session Times: Mondays, 5pm – 7pm – Session Location: Mandurah Performing Arts Centre or WOTSO Mandurah
Studio Sessions: 1 day during the July school holidays at PEN CAP CHEW studios (Date TBC).
