On Friday 23 October, Winjan Aboriginal Corporation partnered with Mandurah Performing Arts Centre and Healthway, through LiveLighter, to present a fantastic free Stand Up Comedy Night as part of Mandja NAIDOC Dandjoo Yoki 2026. The evening celebrated this year’s NAIDOC theme, 50 Years of Deadly, with a week of events celebrating culture, connection and community across Bindjareb boodja.
The evening began with a Welcome to Country by Uncle Brett Hill, Vice Chairperson of Winjan Aboriginal Corporation, followed by a didgeridoo performance by Isiah Walley Stack. With Derek Nannup as MC and headline comedian Craig Quartermaine bringing the laughs, it was a wonderful night filled with great food, plenty of laughter and a strong sense of community.
A fantastic celebration of culture, community and the power of bringing people together!
