MOVING LIFE – 9×5 ART PRIZE 2026

Presented by Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery and Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, the Moving Life 9×5 Art Prize 2026 invites artists to capture the energy, atmosphere, and emotion of a fleeting moment.

Inspired by people, seascapes, cityscapes, changing weather, or shifting light, we’re seeking artwork that reflects a world in motion, offering artists the opportunity to exhibit alongside fellow Western Australians, celebrate life in motion within a dynamic exhibition, and share their unique vision with the community.

How to Enter:

1. Register Online (see form below). N.B. One entry per artist.
2. Pay Entry Fee using the ‘Pay Entry’ Button ($20 including purchase & pickup of your 9×5 board or $30 if you require the board to be posted out to you)
3. Collect your board & start creating! (Note: If shipping is selected, Boards will not be sent via Australia Post after 18^th June)

Prize Categories:

Open Category

• First Prize – $2000
• Second Prize – $1000
• Third Prize – $500
• Highly Commended – $250

Youth Category

• First Prize – $250

Key dates

Artist call out & registrations open: 10th June – 7th July

Entries close & last day to collect boards: Tues 7th July (registrations close 12pm, box office closed 4pm)

Artwork delivery: Wed 15th July, 10am-4pm (Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery)

Opening event: Friday 24^th July, 6pm (including announcement of awards)

Exhibition dates: 24th July – 21st August

Collection of all unsold work: Tues 25th August, 10am to 4pm
