Running alongside Spirit of the Landscape, this exhibition features thirty-six landscape paintings by 12 Mandurah Plein Air Artists, celebrating diverse styles, perspectives, and interpretations of place.

Established in 2011, the Mandurah Plein Air Artists are the hosts and facilitators of Australia’s largest outdoor painting festival, Plein Air Down Under, now in its eighth year. Through this exhibition, the group celebrates both its commitment to fostering the plein air movement in Western Australia and the broader artistic practice of landscape painting.

Featuring works created both outdoors and in the studio, Twelve Perspectives showcases the unique styles and creative approaches of each artist. While united by a shared passion for landscape painting, the exhibiting artists draw inspiration from diverse landscapes and experiences, reflecting both direct observation and personal interpretation.

Together, these works celebrate the enduring connection between artists and the landscapes that inspire them, highlighting the rich diversity of contemporary landscape painting and the collective spirit of a vibrant artistic community.

Both exhibitions open at 2.30pm on Saturday 5 September in the Alcoa Gallery, Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. The opening follows the Worldwide Paint Out in Mandjar Square, from 10am to 2pm.

Everyone is welcome and entry is free to the exhibition opening AND the Worldwide Paint Out.
