Franklyn’s Terrible Wonderful Day Book Project.

Did you know Mandurah Performing Arts Centre have published their very own children’s book?!

This amazing community project brought together Sandie Bentley, a local Mandurah writer and a group of emerging illustrators to create a brand new children’s book – Franklyn’s Terrible Wonderful Day. Illustrated by a team of young illustrators from Mandurah (aged 14-21) this gorgeous book tells the tale of Franklyn, the little lion cub, who awakes from a bad dream and looks for a friend to comfort him. A tale that tells of the importance of sharing problems, building friendships and knowing who to trust.  View some more photos from the illustration sessions here.

All proceeds go to PYMS, a local charity that supports the health and wellbeing of young people in the Peel Region. The book has been supported by The John and Bella Perry Foundation, Community Bank Halls Head and David Templeman and Carole Dhu.
