Robyn Lowry - Mandurah Plein Air Artist of the Month for December

Working in the studio and painting outdoors with the Mandurah Plein Air Artists keeps the paint brush in my hand just about seven days a week.

Immersing yourself in the creative process of landscape painting on site, creates an interpretation of form, colour and design unique to the individual. The camera will never respond to the environment like the human eye.

For more than 30 years I have had the privilege and joy of painting professionally, teaching, demonstrating, and judging.

My preferred mediums are oils and acrylics, but work and teach all mediums.

Working full time to supply Perth galleries, completing commissions as well as being employed by the W.A Art Gallery as a lecturer on painting techniques, keeps my days busy, but also allows me to meet a lot of lovely people in the art world.
