Art Gallery Curator
Mandurah Performing Arts Centre is looking for a highly motivated and hands-on Art Gallery Curator to join their team.
The Art Gallery Curator will be responsible for managing all aspects of the Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery on behalf of the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre (ManPAC).
The purpose of this role is to curate, program and deliver a dynamic annual program of exhibitions and related events including maintaining effective processes, systems and procedures for the Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery.
The Art Gallery Curator’s key responsibilities will include:
- Planning and curating a quality annual visual arts program of local WA artists using a variety of mediums.
- Seeking new and innovative exhibitions from established and emerging artists.
- Coordinating, installing and dismantling all art exhibitions.
- Administration of all exhibitions, prize awards and opening night presentations.
- Ensure Health & Safety guidelines are adhered to regarding Art Gallery operations.
The Art Gallery Curator will be expected to adopt a ‘can-do’ attitude to achieve the organisation’s objectives and growth, working positively with other team members, external organisations and key stakeholders.
This very important position requires a reliable, efficient, honest and hard-working individual dedicated to deliver high quality work. You must be an effective communicator, with the ability to engage diverse audiences and collaborate with artists and other community partners.
This is a casual position (20 hours per week) with an opportunity to become part-time in the future for the right candidate. Some work outside business hours and during weekends will be required.
Salary will be negotiable based on skills and experience.

Lighting Technician
Mandurah Performing Arts Centre (ManPAC) is looking for a full-time, part time or casual Lighting Technician to join their Technical Team.
The Lighting Technician will be responsible for the setup and operation of a variety of lighting systems. This position also provides support to external technical contractors when required.
If you are a Lighting Technician with experience in working for multi-arts venues, festivals or community events then we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate must be dedicated to deliver high quality technical work and the following key skills and attributes are required:
Skills Requirements
- Relevant tertiary lighting technician qualifications or training.
- Must be competent programing and busking with the grandMA 2/3 console.
- Have a good working knowledge of Pathport.
- Substantial skills and work experience as a lighting Technician.
- Specialist expertise and an excellent understanding of lighting systems.
- Extensive experience with setting up and operating lighting
Personal Attribute Requirements
- High standard of customer service skills in order to respond to client requests.
- Be a team player who communicates effectively with ManPAC’s team and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and problem solve.
- High level of attention to detail and prepared to perform a range of tasks.
- Well-developed organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently.
This very important position requires a reliable, efficient, honest and hard-working individual with a keen interest in the theatre environment and dedications to high quality technical work. Additional tasks will include technical and facilities maintenance and other duties as required.
Salary level is dependent on experience according to the Live Performance Award.

Casual Technicians
ManPAC is looking for Casual Technicians to provide lighting, sound, audio visual and staging support to the Technical Team.
The ideal candidate must be dedicated to deliver high quality technical work and the following key skills and attributes are required:
- Relevant tertiary qualifications or job-related experience in a similar position.
- Knowledge of theatre and events operations including the set up/pack down.
- A commitment to a high level of customer service with everyone you interact with.
- Be a team player who communicates effectively with ManPAC’s team and clients.
- Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and problem solve when required.
- Ability to work as part of a team and independently if required.
- High level of attention to detail and prepared to perform a range of tasks.
- Well-developed organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to be flexible in your approach to work and learn new skills quickly.
- Perform other duties as required include technical and facilities maintenance.
- Ability to work flexible hours and weekend work.
All shifts are subject to availability, ManPAC is under no obligation to offer work on a regular basis.
Salary level is dependent on experience according to the Live Performance Award.
