About the Role:
Work within a small team and possess the ability to work autonomously when required, to ensure that both public and backstage areas are maintained to the highest standard to welcome our performers and patrons to the centre.

Key Responsibilities:
• Ensure that the centre is always presented to the public in a professional and clean state.
• Assist the Operations Manager in delivering the cleaning services in the most efficient, effective and financially viable way.
• Ensure that all Back of House areas and Dressing Rooms are kept to the highest standard.
• Collaborate with Front of House and Back of House to achieve the best and effective outcome possible.
• Exceed expectations and wiling to go the extra mile if needed.

Essential Criteria:
• Previous experience in a similar role will be highly regarded.
• Well-developed organisational and time management skills.
• Good interpersonal skills.
• Demonstrated experience in working to cleaning specifications with public event venues.
• Flexibility to work evenings, weekends, and public holidays.
• Ability to work in and unsupervised environment where required and think on your feet.

Position: Chair of the Board Mandurah Performing Arts Inc.

 The Mandurah Performing Arts Incorporated (MPA Inc.) Board is responsible for setting strategies in consultation with the CEO and over-seeing the business operations of Mandurah Performing Arts Centre (ManPAC).

The Chair of the Board plays a pivotal role in the governance and strategic direction of ManPAC.

As the highest-ranking officer of the Board, the Chair provides leadership, vision and guidance to ensure the organisation achieves its vision and fulfills its responsibilities to stakeholders. As the Chair you will play a pivotal role in guiding ManPAC towards its strategic goals and ensuring the continued success of our cultural initiatives.

This position requires a passionate advocate for the arts, a strategic thinker and an effective communicator who can collaborate with diverse stakeholders to advance the goals of ManPAC.

The successful applicant will have:

  • Demonstrated experience within the arts and entertainment industry at senior level with knowledge of venue operations.
  • Demonstrated commitment to the arts and a deep appreciation for its cultural, educational and social significance.
  • Proven leadership experience, ideally in a board or executive role within a non-for-profit organisation, or as an executive of a venue, performing arts, entertainment organisation.
  • Strong strategic thinking skills, with the ability to develop and implement a vision, set goals and drive results.
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to engage and inspire diverse stakeholders and build consensus.
  • Experience in financial management, fundraising or business development, with a track record of success in generating revenue and managing budgets.
  • Knowledge of governance principles and a commitment to upholding the highest ethical standards.
  • High ethical standards, integrity and a commitment to fostering diversity, equity, and inclusion in all aspects of organisational operations.

In assessing applications, the Board will consider the relevant business experience of all applicants. A mix of experience and skills including arts and culture, venue management, financial management and organisational development are required.

Lighting Technician

Mandurah Performing Arts Centre (ManPAC) is looking for a full-time, part time or casual Lighting Technician to join their Technical Team.

The Lighting Technician will be responsible for the setup and operation of a variety of lighting systems. This position also provides support to external technical contractors when required.

If you are a Lighting Technician with experience in working for multi-arts venues, festivals or community events then we would love to hear from you. The ideal candidate must be dedicated to deliver high quality technical work and the following key skills and attributes are required:

Skills Requirements

  • Relevant tertiary lighting technician qualifications or training.
  • Must be competent programing and busking with the grandMA 2/3 console.
  • Have a good working knowledge of Pathport.
  • Substantial skills and work experience as a lighting Technician.
  • Specialist expertise and an excellent understanding of lighting systems.
  • Extensive experience with setting up and operating lighting

Personal Attribute Requirements

  • High standard of customer service skills in order to respond to client requests.
  • Be a team player who communicates effectively with ManPAC’s team and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and problem solve.
  • High level of attention to detail and prepared to perform a range of tasks.
  • Well-developed organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently.

This very important position requires a reliable, efficient, honest and hard-working individual with a keen interest in the theatre environment and dedications to high quality technical work. Additional tasks will include technical and facilities maintenance and other duties as required.

Salary level is dependent on experience according to the Live Performance Award.

Casual Technicians
ManPAC is looking for Casual Technicians to provide lighting, sound, audio visual and staging support to the Technical Team.

The ideal candidate must be dedicated to deliver high quality technical work and the following key skills and attributes are required:

  • Relevant tertiary qualifications or job-related experience in a similar position.
  • Knowledge of theatre and events operations including the set up/pack down.
  • A commitment to a high level of customer service with everyone you interact with.
  • Be a team player who communicates effectively with ManPAC’s team and clients.
  • Ability to work under pressure, multi-task and problem solve when required.
  • Ability to work as part of a team and independently if required.
  • High level of attention to detail and prepared to perform a range of tasks.
  • Well-developed organisational, time management and interpersonal skills.
  • Ability to be flexible in your approach to work and learn new skills quickly.
  • Perform other duties as required include technical and facilities maintenance.
  • Ability to work flexible hours and weekend work.

All shifts are subject to availability, ManPAC is under no obligation to offer work on a regular basis.

Salary level is dependent on experience according to the Live Performance Award.
