The recycled material, mixed media techniques and oil paint create an effect that draws from the Dada and Constructivists movements.

The work is rough and surprising under close inspection. The work also taps into contemporary construction techniques and questions the temporal nature of materials. The narrative storylines of the work draw upon the experiences of musicians, music venue patrons, boozy bottle nights and broken musical instruments. The violin is a central character who leads an orchestrated cast of fellow spirits and ales.
