Sydney based collective The Album Show in conjunction with Ben Maiorana Entertainment present “Feel The Earth Move – the songs of The West Coast 70’s.

This show consists of a 6 piece show band of experienced and accomplished musicians/singers, playing a setlist of bonafide hits from one of the most significant periods in the development of contemporary pop music, the ‘California’ scene from the 70’s. This period was the perfect melting pot of rock and roll, folk, pop and country music at a time that showed the emergence of the singer-songwriter, and the rise of so many classic rock bands.

This two hour plus show, featuring 4 vocalists, will take you on a journey where you’ll see how interwoven the paths of these artists were, and hear a timeless catalogue of material.

The band for this show features proven singers and multi-instrumentalists, who exist in a time capsule that makes them perfectly suited to this period of music! Lead by a true veteran of the Australia pop and country music scene, producer, solo artists and Album Show boss, Michael Carpenter (guitar, keyboards, vocals), the band also features Bathurst’s star vocalist/guitarist Sophie Jones (Petty Nicks show, Smith & Jones), Casey Atkins (The Whitlams, The Beatnix) on lead guitar piano and vocals, Charlie Lee (Too Many Guitars, Perry Keyes) on bass and vocal, Amy Vee (solo, Bloom, Oz Rock Show) and Russell Crawford (Josh Pyke, The Beatnix) on drums and vocals. This band has been playing together in various original and show bands for many many years, and brings a love for both this music and their craft to the table when playing what is arguably, one of the best setlists you would hope to see on a night out!
