Mandurah Photography Club Exhibition
The Mandurah Photography Club was founded in August 1972 and during the past 50 odd years has progressed from film and darkroom development to digital images and computer processing.
The club provides a friendly atmosphere for photography enthusiasts that live in the Mandurah region where experienced and inexperienced members can share their interest in photography. The club aims to facilitate the development of artistic creativity, and the photographic and technical skills of members through club competitions, education evenings, workshops and other club activities.
Photography as art is important to the members as it allows them to see the world from different perspectives; expressing an idea, a moment in time, a message, an emotion or historical record. Members photography tells what is important to them, photography being a fantastic story-telling medium with endless possibilities to express oneself.
Members love a variety of photographic genres: landscape, wildlife, macro, urban streetscape, portraiture, sports, creative photographic art and enjoy considerable success in state and national competitions
