A Summer Exhibition.
Stephen’s Beach House Art returns to Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery following his successful exhibition held here in 2014. This latest showing is influenced by nature’s intricate but ultimately simple recurring patterns and Stephen’s continuing love of the ocean. The freeform sculptural pieces include reflections on sea life, birds, butterflies, beach life, surfing and swimming….
Stephen’s art has proved extremely popular and has been purchased by buyers and collectors throughout Australia and many overseas countries.
Stephen works in various media but predominately seasoned or recycled teak. Teak is recognised for its durability and stability and he draws from the wood the beautiful bespoke forms to create the finished artwork. The uplifting works are constantly dancing with the changing light and relative position of the viewer to the artwork.
