The Valerie Heston School of Dance for the first time in 66 years present their Senior concert for 2020.

2020 has proved an extremely challenging year at the Valerie Heston School of Dance but to the credit of all our students as well as our teachers; we were able to rise to every challenge and turn them into a positive. The year started fairly “normal” before taking a sharp turn into what COVID dance looked like.

We had pre-recorded classes (over 150 of them) which lead our dancers through their favourite classes, the dreaded “Zoom” class was always full of challenges but also a lot of fun. We split all our classes between “the warehouse” and “the studio” where we didn’t get to see many of our dancing friends for a few months and then we all started to come back together – one bottle of hand sanitiser at a time.

We are so proud of how well our students have coped with the extra stresses of this “unique” dance year. We are also really excited to share with the public everything that they have been working on over the course of 2020 in it’s many different formats.
