YOH Fest is one of Australia's biggest health themed youth performing and visual arts events that gives school students throughout WA, the opportunity to take part in an innovation and revolutionary approach to health education.

This annual festival requires school students to get together to construct and perform their own dance sequence, drama play musical compostition, short film or art piece based on a relevant youth health theme.

The festival is unique, being the only one of its kind in Australia. It’s organised, managed and run predominately by the young and young at heart with the invaluable assistance of youth leaders amongst us within the community! This gives the festival a feeling of vibrancy and fun that can only be experienced at YOH Fest. The experiences that participants encounter are amazing and life changing – just awesome!

Thousands of young people participate in YOH Fest events held across WA, performing their productions in some of the best regional venue around to hundreds of audience memebers. YOH Fest patron Professor Fiona Woods considers herself one of the YOH Fest’s biggest fans, and takes an active involvment in the festival each year.

The festival is recognised by Healthway as WA’s leading forum for youth health education through the arts. the key objective of YOH Fest is to educate and empower young people throughout Australia to enable them to make  postive and healthy life choices. Participating students gain skills, self- confidence and respect for others, as well as understanding of relevant youth issues.
