I have been in the fortunate position of meeting so many great local people and hearing the unique stories of their lives, their interaction with the environment, from the river to the ocean. This place is special indeed. The Mandurah Performing Arts Centre reflects our community through song, theatre, dance and art, nurturing and celebrating our unique cultural heritage. It provides opportunities for local people to develop their creativity and brings the world to us through arts and cultural experience. It enriches our lives in so many special ways… it is so important to our community.” Mayor Paddi Creevey AOM

Amazing things can happen through philanthropy. We invite you to join the extraordinary community that supports Mandurah Performing Arts Centre by becoming a Patron, in one of the following core program areas:

Wula workshop at Singleton Web Sydney Dance Company FOR THE WEB

Aims to enthuse and inform youth on performing and visual arts plus support creative development. Our Splash! and Making Waves programs offer unique opportunities to young people and provide essential support to local schools.

Our popular Riptide Contemporary Youth Performance Company offers skills development in the performing arts, while the Peel Regional Youth Arts Perspectives offers up skilling in the visual arts. These programs boost personal confidence and pride, shaping the future of our young people and giving them leadership skills and a competitive edge as they go forward into the world.

Aims for Patrons to be able to offer suggestions as to the choice of shows sourced and presented at the Centre.

Our Patrons will be in a unique position. They will have the opportunity to put forward ideas to invest in high quality works that could not come to the Centre otherwise.

Patrons’ choices will be developed in exclusive consultation with the Patron Program Steering Committee, who will have direct input into selecting which show to resource. This is an opportunity to truly bring the best of the artistic and cultural world to Mandurah.

Aims to facilitate and fund local artists and stories which have a great significance and provide us with our unique sense of place – a sense of Mandurah.

Superb new local works such as Riptide’s my.selfie have been made possible by Patron Program contributions. Written and devised by the company of twenty 14 – 21 year olds with mentorship from an outstanding team of interstate artists, my.selfie delivers a physical and funny expose of what it is to grow up in Mandurah.

Our Alcoa Mandurah Art Gallery exhibitions benefit from benefactors too. Once again, unique outcomes made possible by your patronage.

As a Patron, you will be acknowledged in publications and programs, on a foyer board and with a presentation certificate.

In addition, there is a regular program of events including invitations to dress rehearsals, private behind-the-scenes tours, exclusive events such as post show artists’ meet-and-greet, an annual Patron’s lunch and a Board cocktail reception as well as receiving a Patron’s Pin and extra discounts when booking various selected shows.

Patrons are also acknowledged through the Name-A-Seat Program, depending on level of patronage.

Each life is touched with moments of humour and drama. By leaving a gift in your will to the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre, you can leave a significant legacy to support the cultural life of Mandurah and the Peel region for years to come.

A legacy or a deferred gift entitles the donor to recognition throughout the Patron program at the level of that gift, with all the benefits associated with being a patron.

Substantial legacies or gifts can be recognised with naming rights for rooms or theatres at the Centre.
