What can a rebellious teenage boy who is into free running and a middle-aged woman with Parkinson’s possibly have in common.

The desire to move…

Kinetics is based on the remarkable true story of two people seemingly at polar opposites. As Rose tries to come to terms with her diagnosis, an unlikely friendship springs up when Lucas comes tumbling into her life. But will the bond between them be strong enough when things go wrong.

Brave, honest and humorous, Kinetics was written by playwright Sue Wylie based on her own experience of being diagnosed with Parkinson’s at 50 years old.

Kinetics has toured the UK to great critical acclaim and there was such a recurring demand for it to be seen on a nationwide basis that it was turned into a film.

Parkinson’s is the second most common neurological disease in the world and yet so many people think it is simply an old person’s shaking disease. With this play and the Q&A afterwards, we are hoping to raise awareness of just what this incurable, degenerative disease involves while tackling it with positivity and hope.
