Mandja NAIDOC Danjoo Yoki 2025: Opening Night at ManPAC

On Monday 17th November, Mandurah came together to celebrate Mandja NAIDOC Danjoo Yoki 2025 at the Mandurah Performing Arts Centre. It was an evening full of culture, connection, and community.

The night opened with a Welcome to Country and Traditional Smoking Ceremony by Trevor Stack, Franklyn Nannup, and George Walley, with special words from our MC, Ernie Dingo, and reflections from Mayor Amber Kearns. Families enjoyed crafts, children’s activities, and delicious shared food, creating a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The evening concluded with a 60-minute concert by acclaimed Noongar singer-songwriter Phil Walleystack, whose storytelling, music, and magic left the audience spellbound.

We’re grateful to everyone who came together to honour culture, community, and the stories that connect us.
